Why am I being charged sales tax, when I was not being charged tax before?
In certain cities, companies are allowed to reach a specific sales threshold before they are required to charge sales tax. We have reached that threshold, and as a result, we are now obligated to charge you sales tax.
What is my tax rate?
The tax rates are determined by your local and state lawmakers. To check if you are being charged sales tax and to view the amount, please log into your account and navigate to the Billing section for a detailed itemized view.
Why does a service charge me sales tax?
Sales tax applicability for service industries is determined by your local and state lawmakers. In certain areas, services like lawn care have been categorized as sales tax applicable. Therefore, in compliance with the law, we are required to charge sales tax for such services in those specific areas.
What happens if I receive payment failure?
If your payment for your most recent service did not go through, Lawn Love will notify you so that you can update your payment information and keep your services going without any interruptions.
You will be notified by text, email, and a push notification once a day for four days, and then you will be notified biweekly after that.
Your account will be canceled before the date of your next scheduled service if payment is not received.
Why did my Lawn Love service price increase?
Check your billing history for the following possible reasons: Long Grass Fee, One-Time Reschedule, a Lawn Mowing Fix, or Rescheduling, tip, change of Scope, or the Frequency of your service.
The price increase may also be due to the recent price increase:
- Last January 9th, 2023 the price of a New, Reactivated, or Unpaused Lawn Mowing service increased.
- The Lawn Mowing fee had an average increase of 7.2% or a $3-$15 price increase. Most Customers had a $3 increase.
- This did not impact existing active recurring services unless the services were paused or canceled.
- Trust and Safety Fee - The Trust and Safety Fee increased from $1.99 to $2.99.
- The price increase for new and reactivated accounts took effect on January 9th and applies going forward.
- For existing accounts, the price increase took effect on March 20th and applies moving forward.
Why is the price changing?
This price increase is a response to inflation, which includes rising costs of doing business, transportation expenses, equipment maintenance, and materials for services. As Lawn Love expands, we have encountered challenges with the availability of Pros in certain areas, leading to some Customers not receiving service.
The change in pricing aims to ensure consistent, high-quality service. Additionally, we may make adjustments to plans and pricing in response to market changes, such as local tax changes or inflation. Our goal is to continuously enhance the Lawn Love experience for both Customers and Pros nationwide.
